Core Extraction: Industries
Your Dream Factory:
An Automation Sandbox Game designed to be relaxing; no enemies, no time limit. Set your own goals, work your way up producing more complex materials and build your dream factory!
While the game is balanced to be finish-able in 1 sitting, the randomly generated maps ensure each factory you build will face unique constraints forcing you to use unique new layouts.
Gameplay Tips:
- You can fast place conveyors by holding the place button and then moving in the desired direction.
- Hover over any ores or bars to see what they can merge into! This is how you produce late game materials.
- When you're unsure of an objects orientation, exit build mode and hover over it to view inputs/outputs and if it requires something to work!
- Sometimes the random gen can give you a difficult map, if you're not up for the challenge then feel free to refresh the page / relaunch the exe to get a new run!

It feels like a technical marvel that you got a game like this running on Pico-8. I can definitely feel the inspiration drawn from Mindustry, but the biomechanical take really gives it a unique flavour. I like it.
I have run across one bug and it's quite significant. While in the delete tool, if confirm is held down, but cancel is also hit afterwards, the delete command and its coords will remain buffered in memory. Then next attempt to delete something, it will consider it to a box selection delete (starting from the point of the buffered command to the corner of the current delete attempt) and potentially wipe out a large portion of the base.
This seems to affect all placement tools but the delete command results in the worst of consequences
Really well done! Using the pulses to update the conveyer belts is a really cool approach! Cool video and awesome game!
Thanks so much! :)
